Front Range Splitboarding 12/6/15

December 6, 2015

Pat “Perry” Johnson and I ventured into a new zone in the Front Range with relatively low expectations. Our 7:20 AM trail start was greeted with a frigid 2 degree temperature that kept us in our puffies and insulated gloves well into the approach. After making our way off the well traveled road and towards our objective we were greeted with warming temperatures and sunny skies.Read More »Front Range Splitboarding 12/6/15

Edwards and then we were off to Argentine Peak. After a quick break at the summit we headed to Mt. Wilcox via its rolling ridge. Descending from its summit and we were off to Square Top Mountain A.Read More »Mt. Edwards / Argentine Peak / Mt. Wilcox / Square Top Mountain A

Mt. Bierstadt / Mt. Evans Sawtooth Traverse

September 16, 2015

Looking to get our class 3 fix, Pat Johnson and I decided that the Sawtooth traverse between Mt. Bierstadt and Mt. Evans was good to go. We made our way from the trailhead around 5:45 AM and worked our way to the summit of Bierstadt. We did not waste much time on the summit with the mountains engulfed in clouds and a chilling temperature in the air.Read More »Mt. Bierstadt / Mt. Evans Sawtooth Traverse
